Enjoy this preview of Luke Chueh’s upcoming solo show at the Corey Helford Gallery, CONTEMPTORARY ART. This show is Luke’s exploration of his love/hate relationship with the Contemporary art world, revealing a view of his iconic images through the filter of a number of styles. There will be four series of paintings: The Label Series, The Communication Series, The Colorfield Series and The Template Series. CONTEMPTORARY ART will debut in the Culver City gallery tomorrow night, February 12 from 7-10pm and will be on display through March 12.

Kidrobot was the hottest spot in LA last night for the new Blood & Fuzz 8-inch Dunny signing with artist, Luke Chueh. The crowd showed up early and the line wrapped around the block. Luke signed and sketched throughout the evening and all the Dunnys disappeared by the end of the night.

Get your paws on Luke Chueh’s fantastically morbid, 8-inch Blood & Fuzz Dunny and have it signed by the man himself tonight at Kidrobot Los Angeles. Luke is best know for his adorable twisted animal characters. Expertly combining the innate cuteness of his bears and bunnies with themes of violence and despair, Chueh’s art is as striking as it is enigmatic. The signing is from 6-8 pm tonight. Blink and you might end up decapitated yourself – or worse, you’ll miss this homicidal masterpiece.

Blood & Fuzz Dunny

Luke Chueh’s fan-favorite flocked Dunny 2009 design gets elevated to 8-inches with the new Blood & Fuzz Dunny from Kidrobot. Drawing from Luke’s utterly recognizable oeuvre of cute and horrifying hodge-podge, each of the 1000 pieces produced comes with a decapitated Dunny head accessory and retails for $60 US (£54 UK;  60€ Europe) at Kidrobot stores, Kidrobot.com and super-select retailers October 14. Blink and you might end up decapitated yourself - or worse, you’ll miss this homicidal masterpiece.
